2024 Halton Hills 50th Anniversary & Mayor's Levee

Despite a blustery January night, Georgetown public library buzzed with activity. Following a Canadian tradition begun by the Governor of New France, townsfolk came out to a New Year's levee hosted by Mayor Ann Lawlor, accompanied by town councillors and 4 former mayors. Topping off the evening, knowledgeable local historian Mark Rowe entertained an overflow audience in the spacious auditorium with a recounting of community history that includes some remarkable little-known world achievements.
