“The place where the fog is made,” say the Acadians about the Bay of Fundy’s Cape Saint Mary. Yup, Fundy is one of the foggiest places on Earth. But no fog the night we were there. After waiting in a bitter wind for nearly an hour we were rewarded with a gorgeous sunset. GPS has rendered lighthouses obsolete but I don’t think they can ever replace the visual appeal — especially at sunset. Cape View Motel and campgrounds on the opposite shore of Salmon River has a great view of the lighthouse and peninsula.
