Gethsemane, Jerusalem

Here's an Easter post from my instagram account. A photo of the Garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem, Israel. Places of religious and cultural significance only fully reveal themselves when you know their history. Here, where Jesus Christ was said to undergo emotional torment before his arrest and crucifixion, I could show the beauty but not the passion of the site — unless the twisted olive trees are an indication of sorts. The age of the trees, however, is unknown.
